well, it's going. the continental knitting style is hard to get used to, but it does seem like it would be faster than english. i'm halfway through the charted pattern, so you can see the blue/red combo. 10 rows took the duration of the hitchhiker's guide so that gives you an idea of how long it takes to fair isle.

Hey, I got an email today that my server was bouncing emails last week, and it said one of them was from you. I assume it was about the two-handed FI thing. I'm glad it's working out! I don't like Continental when I'm working normally, but it's handy for colorwork.

yea! t'was from me. i wanted to know about your preference for carrying the unused colors vs. cutting/weaving in ends. i decided to only cut them when it made sense cuz i hate end weaving. :)
thanks for your help!

I don't mind weaving in ends, but yeah, every other row gets kind of ridiculous. If the yarn isn't going farther than, say, 2 inches, I just carry it up the inside, and weave it in a few times along the way at the beginning of the round. (Oh yeah, weaving in floats is another handy thing to know for colorwork, if you don't already know how to do it.) I have a really hard time getting the tension just right if I don't have those woven in bits, the first stitch of the round will be really big usually.
