another productive day
yesterday, upstairs dave's* wife and i painted four walls in the bedrooms, two blue and two yellow. after her much-needed help, i started on the trim (i hate painting trim!) and realized that, instead of painting the woodwork in the upstairs landing, we're going to strip it. we ARE! everyone says how much of a pain in the ass it will be, but i love original woodwork. and it's my house. dammit.
plus, the three layers of pain that are have been applied over the years are peeling off with almost no effort. paint doesn't want to be there.
*he doesn't live upstairs anymore.
also, tds moved phone service to the new place on friday, so i'm borrowing joe's wireless internet this morning.

Maybe you could do some research on lead paint before you go much further scraping. Just a suggestion from one of your aunts;-)
