mosquitoes... ugh.
there was a swarm on jones during the whole walk this evening. a quick google search reveals that an apple cider vinegar-water combo in a spray bottle once a day should be sufficient to keep them off. this, apparently, also works on people. in addition to adding it to their water, humans benefit from it as well! it not only helps get rid of the mosquitoes, but also encourages weight loss? i'm dubious about that, but it's harmless enough to try!

Hmm. Let me know if it works for the mosquitoes? I got swarmed last night too.

You know what works for mosquitoes? Dryer sheets! If the smell doesn't bother you, rub one on the outside of your clothes and on any exposed skin before you go out and then put the sheet in your pocket or wherever (I tuck it in my collar at the back of my neck). I haven't tested this for hours and hours, but it seems to keep them away for a 30 minute dog walk.
Now on the vinegar tip - so spraying the dog with the water/vinegar once a day should keep the moquos off? I assume the dog isn't supposed to drink it...right? Because re: the weight loss, you're supposed to drink it. Like a shot or two of Bragg's before each meal. *Gag*
This is a longass comment. Perhaps email would have been more apropos...
